This is After Tax gifts. Under IRS code, Title 26, anyone can give another person a cash gift up to the IRS guideline. The IRS has already taxed the person giving the gift when that person received their paycheck, so the IRS just isn’t taxing the money twice. Each person receiving a cash gift will receive a Gifting Statement which confirms you received a gift, not income. This is not a business so there’s no W-2’s, 1099’s, no deductions. Gifts under the IRS annual limit are not reported.
